For Annual Rebuild Day:
Potential clients follow referrals to RTA or are identified by volunteers. RTA supplies application forms requesting verification of income and home ownership. Applications for our upcoming Annual Rebuild Day are due Novemember 1st, 2009.
In December and January RTA volunteers make a home-qualifying visit to assess disrepair, take pictures and prepare an action file to be used by home repair crews.
In March, the Board of Directors select homes that meet criteria and can be improved based on the availability of funds and ability of volunteers.
RTA notifies homeowners of eligibility of home repair service. House Captains, briefed on their specific rebuilding projects, then visit the homeowner, organize volunteer crews and procure materials. The workday will held on the 10th and 17th of April, 2010.
For Ramps and Rails:
Applications for the Ramps and Rails program are accepted year-round and the work is done periodically throughout the year. Generally, RTA completes 1-2 ramps per month.
